The Magic Mushroom

A new anti-ageing supplement is derived from a simple mushroom. Lions Mane as the name suggests is a hairy white bearded mushroom from an Asian background that has been used for centuries by Buddhist Monks as an aid to concentration and meditation. Its Latin name is Hericium Erinaceus, other names include Yamabushitake in Japan and Bearded Tooth Fungus from the Chinese.

It is said to aid nerve regeneration, especially in the brain and increase NGF or Nerve Growth Factor. It supports the immune system, has antioxidant properties, helps against Parkinson’s, Stroke Muscle Spasms, Anxiety, Depression, and Cramps. It contains certain compounds that regenerate the Myelin in the brain, something that a decrease of increases your chances of MS and Alzheimer’s onset, as its action is against the formation of amyloid plaque which is seen in Alzheimer’s sufferers.

Although this would seem good enough for a simple fungus, its benefits go way beyond this as it increases our fat metabolism, reducing triglycerides and has an anti-cancer cell action.

I’ll just add one more thing – it’s delicious as well. Other mushrooms with great health benefits include The Reishi or immortality mushroom, Maitake Mushroom, Hime-matsutake, Chaga, Cordyceps Sinensis, Shitake, and Lingzhi. All can be obtained dried, fresh, or in capsule form. Why not try a Chicken and Mushroom clear broth this winter?

As we age our bodies need extra to cope with the daily stress. The bones need Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Vitamin D & K2 along with B12 for the spine and nerves and Strontium, a mineral found in lettuce and a few other leafy veggies.

Hearing can be helped with Folic Acid. The prostate with Cranberry juice and Saw Palmetto. Eyes need Vitamin C, E, and Beta-carotene, Zinc, Glutathione, Selenium, Bilberry and Pycnogenol, which is great for many other conditions as well.

Foods to help keep you younger lots and lots of leafy greens, the magic sweet potato, wild salmon, Lycopene-rich foods e.g red peppers, pink grapefruit, watermelon, and tomato. Collagen-rich foods help keep the skin youthful in appearance. Olive Oil with everything, poultry twice a week, a glass of red wine a day, beans twice a week, nuts 5 serves a week. Berries of any sort twice a week and veggies all the time are the key components for a blushing youthfulness.

Keep Healthy, Be Strong.

Soul

Men and women are spiritual beings. Our awareness of this is paramount to accessing realms of divine intelligence. The universe is full of energy and knowledge and we can receive that energy freely and consciously if we so desire. The ancient Mysteries of Eleusis were practiced for thousands of years, and it is this practice that today’s Masonic traditions have evolved.

Symbols were developed to talk about inner development without speaking. The spiritual awakening evoked with a little language and inner initiation. A divine teaching for men and women, co-Masonry is a way to find order out of chaos in the modern world using the ways of the Ancients.
