couple-at-caravan-siteThe Newcastle Caravan, Camping and Holiday Expo is on again from 17-19 February and this year will be held at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Showground.

Due to the success of the first Newcastle Caravan, Camping and Holiday Expo held last year, the Expo has changed locations, to the larger and more accommodating Entertainment Centre. This move will result in an even larger range of caravan and camping products for visitors to browse and buy, more undercover areas where caravans and motorhomes will be displayed and a larger range of dining and entertainment spaces. The Expo will also provide free parking for all patrons and is only a short stroll from Broadmeadow Train Station.

It is anticipated that up to 25, 000 people will flock through the gates over the three days to see over 200 exhibitors displaying the latest makes and models of caravans, motorhomes, campervans, camper trailers, 5th wheelers, slide-ons, tents and camping equipment, caravan and 4WD accessories, holiday park displays, tourism destinations and much more.

Barry Baillie, CEO of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) says that during the Newcastle Expo the Entertainment Centre and Showground will become a one- stop- shop where visitors can research, review, book and buy all in the one location.

“2012 is tipped to be a strong year for the caravan, camping and RV sector as more Australians turn to value for money holidays. Whether touring in a caravan or RV, pitching a tent or staying in a park cabin, holiday goers have the opportunity to stay in some of the best places in Australia, often neighbouring shopping centres, national parks and pristine beaches. At the Newcastle Expo you can find priceless holidays without the expensive price tag”

For those new to the market or those wanting to add to their gear, the Newcastle Expo is the ideal event to grab great bargains on everything caravan and camping!

The Newcastle Expo provides free parking for all visitors and will be open 9am-5pm daily (Closes 4pm Sunday). Admission costs are $10 (Adults); $6 (Pensioners/Senior Card Holders). Children under the age of 16 are admitted free with an accompanied paying adult.

“Everyone deserves a holiday, and caravan, camping and RV getaways are still the best value holiday option for all Australians, offering something for every budget,” said Mr Baillie
