Pomegrante Shotes with ice-cold gin

Peel some pomegranates and remove the beautiful deep purple-red capsules from inside. At the end of the meal, simply fill your shot glass with pomegranate seeds, pour in your iced ginand shoot the cocktail back. Don’t swallow until you’ve crunched the pomegranate seeds and got a real burst of fragrance and flavour in your mouth. Then swallow the lot and continue the conversation… or have another one.

  1. Anon – I don’t know. I’ve had a look around onnlie but to no avail. I’m guessing that maybe some of the ingredients appear in the play, but it’s been decades since I’ve read R&J, so I don’t know. It was created at Chicago’s The Violet Hour and won third place in GQ magazine’s 20 best cocktails list.Kathleen – Breakfast be damned! Have a slurp before you go for your morning run!
